Critical assesment

I am very pleased with my final images, there is an image I would of liked to include but looking closely on the face it was not sharp enough. I used a 50mm prime lens for the whole project which helped immensely capture the images I wanted. My favourite image of the set is the one of the model kneeling in front of the fence I used off camera flash to enhance the lighting even though it was a bright day. I think all the elements in this image come together and create the look I wanted. The models favourite image is of her sitting on the pillar looking at the camera. This image was achieved using just natural light it was taken at around 3:30 pm so the sun was high in the sky. I wanted a portrait that got close to the models face to make the viewer feel more interment with the model. I positioned the model against a wall and used off camera flash to light the side of her face and the wall to darken the other side. The red lipstick works as a divider to compliment the image. The image with the models hands on her hips works well with her bright clothes contrasting with the red brick. I wanted to include a black and white image to show contrast between sunlight and shadow working together. Overall I am pleased with all my images, the combination of the weather, style and model helped achieve the final set of images I wanted to show. I would like to of had another lens available for the shoot so I wasn’t just limited to focusing standing back and forth of the model I could have gotten maybe a few more shots to add to my collection to consider for the final images.
