Steven Meisel

I am a huge fan of Steven’s work his technical side of lighting is outstanding, the shadows and highlights sculpt the face perfectly. Even on location Steven always seems to get the right effect for each image. Stevens earlier work is a lot different to his current work found in the same magazines. His old work is more gritty it seems almost low-budget a complete contrast to his modern campaigns that are super glossy and popping with colour. Here are a few images that have inspired me to do this project.
